Cultural Fest is a five-day family event showcasing the talents of Queensland's most exciting music and dance entertainers, foods and arts. Hosted by the Townsville Intercultural Centre, the festival is a celebration for the North Queensland community and our visitors from interstate and around the world.

Now in its 19th year, last year's festival involved 350 food sellers, music and dance groups, market stalls and community groups.

It is the most inclusive festival in Australia, happily involving diverse groups from belly dancers to Latino cuisine, from hula extravaganzas to the Zumba dance finale, authentic Indigenous arts and crafts. Cultural Fest has something for everyone!

Cultural Fest's represents the spirit of Australian community by bringing together people from all walks of life in the spirit of fun and friendship and this coming together gives this festival it's magical feeling. Indulge at 30 food stalls featuring food from all over the world; experience Townsville's best and widest variety of culinary fare. From Asian delights to French crepes, Indian curries and gourmet hotdogs. There's so much variety you can visit Cultural Fest on all five days and never eat the same thing twice.

Enjoy your favourite treats guilt free! Most food stalls are run by communities who are fundraising for good works and activities they do throughout the year. By buying food at Cultural Fest, your contribution is assisting community groups year round!

Explore 70 island style huts housing Cultural Fest's amazing selection of arts, crafts and information stalls. With the atmosphere of a Pacific village, these thatch grass root huts are a bustle of activity selling the best arts and crafts of the region.

Meet artists creating their art and inviting interaction with the community for basket weaving, painting, bush dance and drumming. Non-stop performances and interactive workshops will run on the Global Village stage.
