Cultural Fest Preparations

Happy to say that the Agents of Change crew have been confirmed to travel to Townsville from Brisbane to not only perform on Main Stage but also run workshops in Global Village.   Looking forward to it, this crew always impresses  : ) 

We're heading into the last week before set-up and the exitement is growing. Staff preprations are kicking into overdrive with finalising performers run sheets, stall specs and festival site map. I am happy to say that those waiting for the festival program can now download the main stage program from the website and performers are urged to also triple check their times. Ocean stage and Global Village stage programs should be online in the next day or two with the site map available soon after. With so many groups performing and presenting this year the last minute entries have delayed

  So pumped for the beach cricket I think the CF2011 staff might be also putting a team in, Ah Yeah  :) With a name like Pharan (Far-run) i recon our stage manage might be roped in to having a bat, but with his level of enthusiasm i dont think we'll have much trouble convicing him to play. Remeber to book your teams in guys, spots are filling up.

  Ocean Stage has been opened up to local bands wanting to showcase their talents to the thousands of audience members that grace Cultural Fest every year.   WOW! Love this time of year, with spring around the corner new adventures and fresh beginings are everywhere.   Looks like we're going to be blessed with a live Indigenous painting session with artists painting during the festival with works available for sale. Artists will actually be sharing the story of their paintings as they work and on hand to answer any questions that you might have. Be sure to look out for this great opportunity at the Global Village at CF2011.

  Guests at this years Cultural Fest will have the opportunity to receive a genuine Kahuna bodywork session with a qualified practitioner thats sure to reconnect Mind, Body and Soul.   Kate Skitt with be travelling all the way from Tasmania for the Festival and with be offering a unique and truely amazing bodywork session. I can personally attest to that :) She is awesome, and well worth the discounted rate that she is offering her service for. Be sure to look for her in Global Village.
