Live Festival Updates

What a blast, another successful year and over 80,000 visitors in 5 days without a hiccup. Actually we did lose a child for about 20 mins one night which was harrowing for his parents and all the staff and security but thanks to the G&T security team and the local Police Liason officers mother and child were soon reunited :)   Must say that although some well deserved rest is being had now by all the staff and volunteers, we already miss the vibe of the festival and believe it or not, adjustments and plans for next years festival have Already Begun!!

Some bitter sweet news regarding the Cultural Fest Webiste. Due to excessive traffic on the website during the festival our website was temporarily down and we could not post live updates. Which is unfortunate yet very heartening to see the local interest and support for Cultural Fest. I bet our sponsors posted on the website would be pleased with the traffic we caused :) Thanks to all of you, a particular shout out to Wild Gravity AV, G&T security & Doug Edes party hire these guys are the backbone of the festival and their staff did an amazing job to make

  What a Night!  Townsville local talent cut loose on Ocean stage on Friday night with local musso's from the Nth Qld area serenading the crowds on the beach with beautiful Magnetic Island as a backdrop. The sun slowly set as local guitar vocalists such and Luke Thomas, Ben Channon, Mtichelle Steel and the crowd fav's Tash and Jesse blessed us all with their voices and their skills on the strings.   Bit of news for us all to be very proud of. The astonishingly talented and soulful Tash and Jesse had not met (not in this lifetime anyway) untii they were introduced
