A new feature of Cultural Fest 08 is the Didgi-Fire Indigenous concert spectacular. This exciting event will feature Indigenous smoke, didgeridoo and beats performed by top local and interstate Indigenous artists.
Indigenous Welcoming Ceremony
Witness the magical ceremony of the arrival of Pacific elders on the shore of The Strand and their blessing by Indigenous elders. Traditional Torres Strait Islander pearling boats, South Sea Islander canoes and Pacific Islander boats carrying Pacific Islander representatives in their full costume and glory will be greeted with blessings, gifts and a corroboree.
