Tickets are $2 each and are available at the entrance gates. All children under 10 years old are free.
Most Cultural Fest events are at the Strand Park site on Townsville’s waterfront. The Tropigo Carnival is along the Strand (beachfront promenade) between the Rockpool and Gregory Street. Prior to the event a detailed site map and Carnival route will be posted in this section of the website.
Public parking is available along the Strand and around the Cultural Fest site. However because of Cultural Fest crowds parking can be difficult to find. Organisers recommend that people attending use the $1 shuttle bus available from the City to the Strand.
There is a shuttle bus running every 20 minutes from Dean Street, South Townsville carpark to the City to the Cultural Fest site. Tickets are $1 each way. The bus will drop you right outside the festival. Sun Bus tickets from anywhere in Townsville to the city will give you a free transfer on to the Cultural Fest.
Wheelchairs can access Strand Park.
Organisers are currently calling for entries for performing, food stalls and Global Village arts and crafts stalls. This form must be completed and returned to us by the due date on the form.
